But in Daniel 3, when Shadrach, Meshasch and Abednego refused to bow to anything “less than” God, they were thrown in a furnace, set 7 times higher than usual, and they survived (and actually walked away with a deeper, more rooted peace) by focusing on Jesus Himself not trying to quiet, strategize or organize the flames around them. I knew I needed to do the same because the solution to an overwhelming season of hardship, confusion and pain is and always will be Jesus Christ our Savior. I began to dig deep into the Bible and found a deeper love and desire for Christ.
